Research
If
you are, you should know that all research done here
in the
Department of Neuroscience at the New York State Psychiatric
Institute and in the
Department of Psychiatry/Division of Neuroscience at Columbia
University has been
reviewed and approved by our Institutional
Review Board (the "IRB").
The
primary goal of the Neuroscience
Clinic
is to study mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder),
borderline personality disorder, self-injury, and suicidal
behavior in order to find more effective treatments for
them.
If
you have never participated in a research study before,
or are interested in learning more about the process in the
